Biography of Doris Eaton Travis

Doris Eaton Travis was born in 1904 in Norfolk, Virginia.

She was born into a large family of seven children, all of whom had a passion for the performing arts. She began performing on stage as a child, and at the age of 13, she made her Broadway debut alongside her sisters, Mary and Pearl Eaton, who were also dancers.

Together, they appeared on stage at the Theatre in Washington.

In the early 1920s, Doris made her debut on the silver screen, starring in several silent short films, including the British films "At the Stage Door," "The Call of the East," and "Tell Your Children." Throughout the 1920s, Doris had the opportunity to act in ten films.

During the 1930s, Eaton continued to perform on Broadway.
